Who we are

The Men’s Healing Network (MHN) invites men, healing practitioners, and service providers into a statewide, healing-centered ecosystem. Together, we center brotherhood and connection, address core wounds through accountability, and engage in community-based violence intervention rooted in dignity and transformation.

The Equity Institute proposes to pilot the Men’s Healing Network (MHN)—a community-led initiative that creates healing-centered spaces for male-identifying individuals across central western Washington. Rooted in dignity, responsibility, and emotional intelligence, MHN addresses the urgent need for men to heal from isolation, shame, and cycles of violence by fostering connection, resilience, and purpose.

The project will focus on three key strategies:

(1) training community-based facilitators to lead healing circles grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices;

(2) bridging informal healing traditions—such as men’s circles, Indigenous ceremonies, and storytelling—with formal systems of care; and

(3) creating intergenerational spaces that strengthen belonging, emotional well-being, and health equity for men and the youth they support.
