Season 2: SEX

The conversations we wish we'd had sooner.

Most of us learned something about sex long before we learned how to talk about it.

We learned from family, friends, religion, porn, partners, culture, silence, experience, mistakes, love, and loss. Some of what we learned served us. Some of it confused us. Some of it hurt us or the people we loved. And some of the most important lessons came much later.

For Season 2 of the Men’s Healing Network Podcast, we want to make room for the conversations many of us wish we had been having all along.

We want to talk about desire and pleasure, love and intimacy, bodies and biology, marriage and commitment, porn and sexual scripts, consent and power, shame and trauma, violence and nervous systems, infidelity and divorce, integrity and mistakes, accountability and repair. I also want to talk about ecstasy, joy, connection, and what it means to feel fully alive in relationship with ourselves and with other people.

This is not a conversation only for men.

We are inviting practitioners, therapists, facilitators, researchers, sex educators, survivor advocates, coaches, community leaders, organizers, and others whose work touches men, boys, relationships, sexuality, healing, or accountability. I want women, queer and trans practitioners, and people whose perspectives have too often been missing from men’s spaces to be part of this inquiry too.

Some guests will bring years of professional experience. Some will bring research. Some will bring lived experience. Most will bring all of those things together.

At the center of every conversation are three questions:

  • What do you wish you had known sooner?

  • What do you wish you had practiced sooner?

  • What do you wish men and boys were learning now?

We are especially interested in the space between knowing and practicing.

The Men’s Healing Network Podcast

This podcast is a space where men sit together with intention, speak honestly, and share the moments that have shaped who they are.

Each episode brings together three men:

  • The host (Vincent Perez)

  • A man he invites

  • A man that guest invites

The conversation forms a living circle. One relationship leads naturally into the next, creating continuity, trust, and depth rather than isolated interviews.

This is not a show about fixing yourself or performing for an audience. It is about presence, truth, and being witnessed by other men.

Vincent Perez joins Gregory Flynn and Efraín Gutiérrez for a powerful conversation about masculinity, queerness, connection, identity, and the freedom to move beyond the roles we've been taught to perform. Together, they explore what it means to reclaim the parts of ourselves we've hidden, challenge rigid ideas of masculinity, and become more fully human, together.

Ep. 7:
The Way Back To Ourselves

What if healing isn't about becoming someone new, but remembering who you've always been?

Vincent Perez is joined by Joshua Zamrin and Nate Berner-Tobin for a conversation about emotional health, belonging, and coming home to ourselves.

Ep. 8:
Don’t Do This Alone

Men are taught to carry it alone.

Michael “Roddy” McDowell and Dan Dantzic challenge that script, exploring what happens when men learn to ask for help, receive support, and stay beside each other through the hard stuff.

Ep. 9:
Beyond The Patriarchy

What if men’s healing requires us to look beyond the individual?

In the Season One finale, Vincent Perez, Fernell Miller, and Dr. Jen Self explore patriarchy, identity, belonging, racial and gender justice, and what it means to move beyond systems of domination toward deeper connection and collective healing.
