Men’s Circle Practice
A place to put down what you have been carrying
MHN circles bring adult men together for honest conversation, careful listening, reflection, and accountable connection.
What a circle is
A circle is a facilitated group practice. We sit in our humanity. We speak from our own experience, listen without rushing to fix one another, and notice what becomes possible when we do not have to carry everything alone.
A circle is not group therapy, crisis care, treatment, or a place to avoid accountability. It can complement professional or community support, but it does not replace it.
What to expect
A welcome, grounding practice, and clear agreements.
A prompt or theme connected to men's lives, relationships, and responsibilities.
Time to speak, pass, listen, and reflect without unsolicited advice.
A closing practice and a clear end to the container.
Information about additional support when a need exceeds the circle's scope.
Circle agreements
Speak from your own experience.
Pass when needed.
Listen to understand rather than prepare a response.
Do not give advice unless it is requested and the facilitator permits it.
Respect privacy while understanding that confidentiality in a group cannot be guaranteed.
Do not attend while intoxicated or behave in ways that threaten, harass, or demean others.
Take responsibility for your impact and remain open to redirection or repair.
Who may participate
Unless a listing says otherwise, MHN public men's circles are for adults age 18 and older who identify as men and agree to the circle expectations. Some gatherings may be designed for a particular community, identity, age range, region, or purpose. Youth programs use separate registration, consent, and safeguarding procedures.
