Men’s Healing Network (MHN)
Monthly Stipend: $250–$1,000 (based on hours) x 10 months
Time Commitment: 5~15 hours/week
Location Preference: Must reside in or have deep ties to one of the 7 counties in the pilot project (Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Grays Harbor, Cowlitz, Pacific, Wahkiakum) or affiliated tribal communities.

Role Overview

The Core Team Member will work closely with the Project Lead to bring the MHN pilot to life—building relationships, recruiting facilitators, amplifying our presence online, and supporting the logistics that make healing spaces possible. This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-centered individual who is deeply connected to community and aligned with MHN’s mission to support healthy masculinity and healing for men.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community & Facilitator Outreach: Recruit, engage, and maintain relationships with facilitators, partners, and community organizations across the 7 counties.

  • Social Media & Email Outreach: Create and schedule posts, respond to inquiries, and build MHN’s online visibility through culturally relevant, healing-centered messaging.

  • Event Implementation Support: Assist with organizing circles, film screenings, trainings, and public gatherings.

  • Communications & Materials: Help develop flyers, social media graphics, email campaigns, and outreach materials.

  • Curriculum & Training Assistance: Provide input and logistical support for facilitator trainings and curriculum rollout as needed.

  • Data & Reporting Support: Track outreach activities, event participation, and key project milestones using MHN’s Airtable system.

Ideal Candidate

  • Lives in or has deep relationships in one of the 7 CHOICE counties or affiliated tribal communities.

  • Skilled in relationship-building and community outreach.

  • Comfortable with social media platforms, email tools, and light graphic creation.

  • Organized, dependable, and responsive.

  • Passionate about healthy masculinity, healing-centered work, and community care.

Circle Facilitator

Position Overview

The MHN Circle Facilitator creates and holds safe, healing-centered spaces for men to gather, share, and grow. Facilitators guide circles using trauma-informed, culturally rooted practices that honor dignity, accountability, and connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate men’s healing circles with presence, compassion, and consistency.

  • Create an atmosphere of safety, confidentiality, and respect.

  • Guide participants through structured practices (storytelling, reflection, rituals, dialogue).

  • Support men in exploring themes of identity, wellness, accountability, and belonging.

  • Model vulnerability, dignity, and healthy masculinity.

  • Collaborate with MHN leadership to align circles with program goals.

  • Maintain attendance records and provide brief reflections/feedback after each circle.

Qualifications

  • Experience in group facilitation, counseling, mentoring, or community leadership.

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally rooted practices.

  • Strong communication and listening skills.

  • Ability to hold space for diverse men with humility and respect.

  • Commitment to MHN’s mission of breaking cycles of harm and fostering healing.

Time Commitment & Compensation

  • Circles typically run 1.5–3 hours.

  • Facilitators may be asked to lead 1–4 circles per month.

  • Compensation provided per circle/session.
